Brass-Muntz Metal and Suede Leather Belt Care
Our belts are meticulously crafted by artisans in Bali and Istanbul using high-quality brass and 100% suede leather. Proper care will maintain their beauty and durability.
Brass Care:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the brass with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust or fingerprints.
- Polishing: Use a brass cleaner. Apply with a soft cloth, gently rub, and then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Protection: To prevent tarnishing, keep the brass parts dry and store them in a cool, dry place. You can also use a brass sealant for added protection.
Suede Leather Care:
- Brushing: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt and restore the suede’s natural texture. Brush in one direction to maintain the uniform appearance of the suede.
- Spot Cleaning: For small stains, use a suede eraser or a clean cloth dampened with white vinegar. Gently rub the stained area and let it air dry.
- Deep Cleaning: If the suede needs a more thorough cleaning, use a suede cleaner as per the product instructions. Avoid soaking the suede, as excessive moisture can damage it.
- Water Protection: Apply a suede protector spray to help repel water and prevent stains. Reapply periodically for continued protection.
Storage:
- Cool, Dry Place: Store your belts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
- Avoid Crushing: Hang the belts or store them flat to avoid creases and maintain their shape.
- Separate Storage: If possible, store brass and suede belts separately from other items to prevent scratches and damage.
- General Tips:
– Limit Exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to water, oils, and perfumes to preserve the quality of both brass and suede.
– Regular Maintenance: Regularly clean and protect your belts to keep them looking their best and extend their lifespan.

Important Information Before You Buy
Color Variations:
Our plant-dyed garments are truly one-of-a-kind. Due to the artisanal dyeing process, slight variations in color and pattern are to be expected, celebrating the individuality of each piece. These natural nuances add to the charm and uniqueness of your garment.
Color Fading:
Natural dyes are delicate and may fade gracefully over time, especially with frequent washing and exposure to sunlight. This gentle fading is part of the garment’s evolving story and inherent beauty.
Care Instructions:
To preserve the elegance and vibrancy of your MUTLU garment, please follow these care guidelines:
Washing: Hand wash your garment in cold water with a mild, pH-neutral detergent. If you prefer machine washing, use the gentle cycle with cold water. Refrain from using harsh chemicals, bleach, or heavily scented detergents.
Drying: Lay the garment flat to dry or hang it in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight to maintain the richness of the natural dyes.
Ironing: Use a low heat setting for ironing. Place a cloth between the iron and the garment to protect the delicate fabric.
Stain Removal: Attend to stains promptly with cold water and mild soap, gently dabbing rather than rubbing. For more persistent stains, opt for natural remedies such as diluted vinegar or baking soda.
Storage: Store your garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Use breathable cotton bags or pillowcases, avoiding plastic storage options.
Stain Sensitivity:
Our natural dyes may be more sensitive to stains. We recommend immediate and gentle treatment of any spills to preserve the garment’s integrity. Natural stain removers are preferred over conventional chemical solutions.
Potential Allergies:
Although very rare, natural dyes may cause sensitivities in some individuals. If you have particularly sensitive skin, consider performing a patch test before wearing your garment for an extended period.
Environmental Factors:
Sunlight Exposure: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading. We suggest storing your garments in a shaded area to preserve their color.
– Moisture Sensitivity:High humidity and moisture can impact the dyes. Keep your garments in a dry environment for optimal preservation.

MUTLU is committed to authentic, sustainable fashion. Our plant-dyed garments are crafted with natural materials and dyes, ensuring eco-friendly and ethical production practices. Each piece is a testament to our dedication to sustainability and the artistry of our skilled artisans.
